Q: How accurate are the star maps?

A: Star Map uses astronomical calculations based on a catalog of approximately 5,000 stars to render an accurate representation of the night sky. The maps are designed for decorative and commemorative purposes and show how the sky appeared from your chosen location at your specified date and time.

Q: Can I change the style of my star map after adding it to my design?

A: Yes! Double-click the star map element in your Canva design to re-open the App. You can then adjust the date, time, location, color scheme, shape, border, and all other style options.

Q: My location isn't showing up in the search. What should I do?

A: The App includes over 10,000 cities worldwide. Try searching for a nearby larger city. The exact location mainly affects which stars are visible above the horizon, so a nearby city will produce a very similar result.

Q: What color schemes are available?

A: The App offers 9 pre-designed color schemes: Classic Night, Midnight, Deep Space, Noir, Gold on Dark, Ivory, White Minimal, Dusty Rose, and Ocean. Each scheme is designed to complement different design styles.

Q: Can I customize what's shown on the star map?

A: Yes! You can toggle constellation lines, constellation names, planets, the Milky Way, grid lines, cardinal directions, and more. You can also adjust star brightness and size.

Q: What shapes and sizes are available?

A: Star maps can be generated in Circle, Heart, or Square shapes. Size options include Small, Medium, Large, and Print-ready for high-quality printing.

Q: The "Add to Design" button is disabled. Why?

A: The button may be disabled if the current Canva page type does not support adding elements. Try switching to a standard design page.
