Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using QR & Barcode Studio (India) ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The App is a free tool available within the Canva platform that allows users to:

• Generate QR codes for UPI payments and URLs
• Generate barcodes in EAN-13, Code-128, and Code-39 formats
• Insert generated codes into Canva designs
• Export codes as SVG or PNG formats

3. Use of the App

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use the App to:

• Create QR codes and barcodes for legitimate business or personal purposes
• Generate codes for legal transactions and content
• Insert codes into your own Canva designs
• Export and print generated codes

3.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT use the App to:

• Generate codes for illegal activities or fraudulent transactions
• Create codes that violate intellectual property rights
• Impersonate others or misrepresent payment recipients
• Generate codes containing malicious content, phishing links, or malware
• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or access the App's source code

4. Accuracy of Information

This includes, but is not limited to:

• UPI IDs and payment amounts
• URLs and website links
• Barcode values and product codes

The developer is not responsible for any errors, losses, or damages resulting from incorrect information in generated codes.

5. Testing Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Testing generated codes before printing or mass distribution
• Verifying that UPI payment details are correct and functional
• Ensuring codes meet your quality and accuracy standards
• Confirming codes are compatible with intended scanner devices
• Testing print quality and scanability at intended sizes

6. No Warranty

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of generated codes

We do not guarantee that:

• Generated QR codes will always be scannable by all devices
• Barcodes will be compatible with all POS systems
• The App will work perfectly in all circumstances
• Generated codes will meet specific industry standards

7. Limitation of Liability

The developer (Naveen Bhavnani) shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Financial losses from incorrect UPI payment QR codes
• Costs associated with printing or producing defective codes
• Business losses or lost profits
• Damages from unscannableor incompatible codes
• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

8. No Payment Processing

The App only generates visual codes (QR codes and barcodes) that can be scanned by other applications or devices. The App:

• Does not act as a payment gateway or processor
• Does not store or transmit payment information
• Does not facilitate transactions between parties
• Is not responsible for payment failures or disputes

9. Compliance with Laws

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the App, including but not limited to:

• UPI and digital payment regulations in India (NPCI guidelines)
• Barcode and retail labeling standards (GS1 standards for EAN-13)
• Intellectual property laws
• Consumer protection laws
• Tax and financial reporting requirements

10. Canva Platform Terms

Your use of this App is also governed by:

• Canva's Terms of Use
• Canva Developer Terms

In case of conflict between these Terms and Canva's terms, Canva's terms shall prevail.

11. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Naveen Bhavnani and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The codes you generate using the App are your own property and may be used freely for any legal purpose.

12. Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice
• Update features or functionality
• Change these Terms of Service (changes will be posted on this page)

Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, if:

• You violate these Terms
• You use the App for illegal or fraudulent purposes
• Required by law or Canva's policies

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Naveen Bhavnani from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• QR codes or barcodes you generate and distribute
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, India.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Naveen Bhavnani regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
