Privacy Policy

Overview

Moon Phase Poster ("the App") is a Canva app developed by Naveen Bhavnani that shows the moon as it appeared on any date, time and place, and adds it to your Canva design as a poster.

Information We Collect

The App collects only what it needs to run its credit system:

• Your Canva user ID, an anonymous identifier provided by Canva. It is not your name or email address.
• Your credit balance, and how many credits you have used and purchased.
• A history of credit changes, such as a credit used for a poster, a credit returned after a failed insert, or credits added by a purchase.
• Purchase references: the Gumroad order ID and the credit pack purchased, used to add credits to your account exactly once.
• Timestamps of when you first and last used the App.

The App does not:

• Collect the dates, times, places, captions or style choices you enter
• Upload your poster or your design to our servers
• Use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies
• Use cookies
• Sell or share your information with anyone

How the App Works

• The moon's phase and position are calculated in your browser.
• The poster image is rendered in your browser and added to your design through Canva's official APIs.
• When you check your balance or add a poster, the App sends a request to our credits server, identified by a token Canva issues for your account.
• When you buy credits, the App opens a Gumroad checkout page carrying a one-time code, so the purchase can be linked back to your account.
• If you enter a license key from a Gumroad receipt, it is sent to our credits server and checked with Gumroad to add the credits. The key itself is not stored.

Payment Information

• All payments are processed by Gumroad, a third-party payment processor.
• We do not collect, store or have access to your payment card details or billing address.
• Gumroad may share order details with us, including the email address on the order, so we can confirm a purchase and help with refunds. We use these details only to add credits and to handle support and refund requests.

Third-Party Services

• Railway hosts our credits server and its database.
• Gumroad processes payments for credit purchases. See Gumroad's Privacy Policy.

We do not share data with any analytics platforms or advertising networks.

Canva Platform

This App runs within the Canva platform. Your use of Canva (the platform) is governed by:

• Canva's Terms of Use

Canva may collect data about your use of their platform according to their own privacy policy. This App does not have access to or control over Canva's data collection practices.

Data Retention

Your credit balance and credit history are kept for as long as you use the App, so purchased credits remain available to you. You can ask us to delete them at any time, as described below.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. The App is designed for general users and is not directed at children.

Data Security

All communication between the App and our credits server is encrypted over HTTPS, and every request is verified with a token issued by Canva. Access to the database is restricted to the developer.

Your Rights

You may ask us to access or delete the data associated with your Canva account. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your data also removes any unused credits.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

International Users

The App is available globally through the Canva platform. Our credits server and database may be located outside your country of residence.
