Overview
Color Splash ("the App") is a Canva app developed by Naveen Bhavnani that transforms images so the main subject stays in color while the background becomes grayscale.
Summary: We do NOT collect, store, or share any personal information. Images are processed temporarily and immediately discarded.
Information We Collect
We do NOT collect any personal information or user data.
The App operates within the Canva platform and:
- Does not require user login or authentication beyond Canva
- Does not collect names, email addresses, or contact information
- Does not track user behavior or analytics
- Does not use cookies or tracking technologies
- Does not store any user data permanently
How the App Works
When you use Color Splash:
- You select an image on your Canva design
- Optionally, you describe which subject to keep in color
- The image is sent to a backend server for processing
- The processed image (with the color splash effect applied) is returned to your Canva design
Data Processing
The App processes image data as follows:
- Your selected image is temporarily sent to our processing server via a secure connection
- The image is processed solely to apply the color splash effect
- The optional text prompt (subject description) is used only for processing and is not stored
- Processed images are returned to Canva and immediately discarded from the server
- No images, prompts, or results are retained after processing is complete
Payment Information
The App uses a credit-based model. When you purchase credits:
- All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, a third-party payment processor
- We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information
- Lemon Squeezy handles all payment data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy
- We only receive confirmation of your purchase (order ID and credit pack purchased) to add credits to your account
- Your Canva user ID is associated with your credit balance to track usage
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Backend processing server: Only receives image data necessary for processing. Does not store or log any user images or prompts.
- Lemon Squeezy: Processes payments for credit purchases. See their Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.
We do not share data with any analytics platforms or advertising networks.
Canva Platform
This App runs within the Canva platform. Your use of Canva (the platform) is governed by:
Canva may collect data about your use of their platform according to their own privacy policy. This App does not have access to or control over Canva's data collection practices.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. The App is designed for general users and is not directed at children.
Data Security
Image data is transmitted securely between the Canva platform and our processing server. Since we do not permanently store any user data, there is no persistent user data at risk.
Your Rights
Since we do not permanently collect or store any personal data, there is no data to access, modify, or delete. Images and prompts exist only temporarily during processing and are discarded immediately after.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
International Users
The App is available globally through the Canva platform. Image data may be temporarily processed on servers located outside your country of residence. Since no data is stored permanently, there are no long-term cross-border data transfer concerns.
